Matthew 25:40
At times, it seems God puts people before us and expects us to help them – and the Bible tells us Jesus is there waiting to be loved in that individual. That’s why Jesus said, “whatever you do for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you do for me.” (Matthew 25:40) We cannot reach out to that person in need, we cannot embrace somebody who’s hurting, we cannot minister to somebody who is in desperate straits, without Jesus returning to us through that person. But we must be ready to help. We must be prepared.
Making a Difference Together.
That is why we have named one Sunday a month “Matthew 25:40 Sunday.” On this Sunday we dedicate our plate collection to helping a charity or organization prayerfully selected by our Outreach Chair and our Rector. We’ll tell you about that organization on the Sunday in question – and through the e-pistle, our weekly electronic newsletter.
Supporting Our Local Community
On the second Sunday of each month funds are collected to assist various needs in the local community. For more information, contact Julie Moxley.
