The Free Tax Prep Center
Founded in 2011, St. Stephen’s Free Tax Prep Center prepares and e-files tax returns for individuals and families earning $67,000 or less, helping to save tax preparation fees and ensuring accurate returns. Our services are always free of charge, and we have appointments available in the evenings and on weekends during tax season. We are an IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) site.

Documents needed for tax prep
- Photo IDs for taxpayers
- Social Security cards or ITIN letters for taxpayers and dependents
- W2s, 1099s, all income documents
- 1098s, all information needed for deductions or credits
- 1095-A if you had Marketplace health insurance (Obamacare)
- IRS Identity Protection PIN (if applicable)
- Bank routing & account numbers (for fastest refunds)
- Last year’s return (optional, but helpful)
