The Rev. Wilifred Allen-Faiella, Rector
The Rev’d Wilifred (Willie) Allen-Faiella has been our rector since August, 2001. Previously she served as rector of Trinity Church, Gulph Mills in the Diocese of Pennsylvania for ten years and assistant rector of Immanuel Church-on-the-Hill in Alexandria, VA for four years. A 1987 graduate of Virginia Theological Seminary, she holds a B.A. in history from Bryn Mawr College and an M.A. in theatre arts from the West Berlin campus of Schiller College. Willie’s “past life” was as the performing arts director of a U.S. army base near Pisa, Italy for six years. She is married to Chris Faiella and they are the proud parents of Christopher (Kit) and Sophia.
The Rev. Jo-Ann Murphy, Assistant Rector
Rev’d Jo-Ann has been a priest for over 25 years. She has served parishes in the dioceses of Newark and Virginia before joining the staff at St. Stephen’s. She is a certified Spiritual Director and holds a doctorate in Christian Formation from Drew Theological Seminary in Madison, NJ.
The Rev. Howard Stowe, Assisting Priest
Father Stowe has been a priest for over 50 years. He was long associated with St. Stephen’s as Day School chaplain in the ’90’s, priest-in-charge during the interim before Pastor Willie came on board, priest associate for many years, and liturgist par excellence. Fr. Stowe has
served at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine and was rector of St. Ignatius in Manhattan for many years.
Scott Bracken-Tripp, Music Director
Scott Bracken-Tripp holds a Master of Music degree from Florida International University, and a Bachelor of Music degree in voice performance from Florida Southern College. Scott is in demand as a soloist and conductor across the state of Florida, having performed as such in operas, concerts, recitals, and galas with such organizations at the Central Florida Bach Society, the Imperial Symphony Orchestra, the Alhambra Orchestra, Arts at St. John’s, and others. He is on the faculty at the Florida International University School of Music, and is a doctoral student at the University of Miami, where he studies Vocal Pedagogy and Choral Conducting.
Scott Bracken-Tripp comes to St. Stephen’s from St. John’s-on-the-Lake United Methodist Church where he was music director from 2012 to 2016.
Gladys Rivera, Parish Administrator
Daisy Lewis, Art Show Director
Daisy is a marketing and fundraising consultant for nonprofit and community-based organizations and president of Daisy Industries, Inc. She specializes in youth programs, disability programs, and producing special events.
Robin Lawrie, Communications Director
Robin has been vice president of marketing services for a national manufacturing company, an artist, an art teacher, and an art therapist. She is responsible for St. Stephen’s external and internal communications, including this web site. She gladly accepts comments or suggestions at the above email link.
Analy Mendez, Children’s Choir Director
Analy is a graduate of the New World School of the Arts. She hold the degrees of Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance and Master of Music Education from The Boston Conservatory in Boston Massachusetts. Analy is the Choral Director and Artistic Administrator of the Miami Children’s Chorus.
Amed Morales, Sexton
Mrs. Silvia Larrauri, Head of School
Mrs. Larrauri has over 30 years experience in Independent Schools. She started her teaching career as a preschool teacher assistant that led to leading a PK classroom. After teaching for 12 years, she was offered the opportunity to take on leadership roles, ranging from assistant principal and principal of the primary school to admissions director for PK through 5th grade, all at Gulliver Schools in Miami, Florida. In 1999 she became Assistant Head of School at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Day School and in 2005 she became the Head of School. She graduated with a BS and a Masters of Education in Human Services from Nova Southeastern University. Mrs. Larrauri serves on the Board of the National Association of Episcopal Schools.
The Rev. Jorge Sayago-Gonzalez , School Chaplain
The Rev’d Jorge Sayago-Gonzalez is originally from Puerto Rico and ordained in the Presbyterian Church, PCUSA. Pastor Jorge has worked for more than 15 years as a worship leader in Puerto Rico and the United States. He earned his undergraduate degree in music from the University of Puerto Rico and received his M.Div. from Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary. In addition to his M.Div., Pastor Jorge completed a residency program with the Association of Clinical Pastoral Education at University of Louisville Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. For the past seven years he served as the Associate Pastor for Youth and Young Adults at Second Presbyterian Church in Louisville, Kentucky. Pastor Jorge looks forward to this new chapter in his ministry as the chaplain at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Day School.
